AD|ARC research-ready datasets now available in England and Wales

The AD|ARC programme is pleased to announce that its research-ready datasets for 2011 are now available to accredited researchers in England and Wales. These datasets offer a rich resource for exploring characteristics of farming households, enabling high-quality analysis and evidence-based insights. Data for both nations are available at an individual- and household- level.

The datasets included in the 2011 AD|ARC datasets are:
EU Farm Structure Survey 2010 (England and Wales)
Rural Payments 2010 (England and Wales)
ONS Census of Population 2011 (England and Wales)
Inter-Departmental Business Register (England only; please reach out to the AD|ARC team for more information about linking IDBR data for Wales).

This is a huge achievement for the wider AD|ARC project, and we’d like to thank the numerous teams across England and Wales, including data owners, Trusted Research Environments, and farming organisations, who made it possible.

For more information on data availability, visit the ADR UK Project Page.

What next?
Refreshed versions of the AD|ARC research-ready datasets for England and Wales will be made available in 2026. They will contain information from agricultural datasets, ONS Census of Population 2021 and Inter-Departmental Business Register.
